Both Pellet and Gas stoves require routine servicing to remain safe and efficient. Generally, after burning one ton of pellets (50 bags), pellet stoves should be thoroughly cleaned and the factory settings checked and recalibrated as necessary.

Gas stove heaters also require annual service. They should be cleaned periodically, and checked for gas and carbon monoxide leakage. Cleaning consist of: window, burners, gas orifices, and fan, and any necessary adjustments. Valve, thermo - generators, and other safety devices are also inspected.
If possible masonry installations are inspected, and if necessary, cleaned as well to control dust from entering stove.
